The Purpose
This project began with a careful reading of the land surrounding a property in Strensall. The client wanted the gardens to feel established, natural, and deeply connected to the setting, while supporting relaxed outdoor living across the site. Our focus was on shaping the landscape through planting, landform, and material choices that felt timeless—creating gardens that sit comfortably within their environment and evolve beautifully over time.
The Challenge
At this property in Strensall, the brief centered on creating a landscape that felt both natural and intentional. The client envisioned outdoor spaces that blended seamlessly into the wider grounds, encouraging year-round use while respecting the character of the setting. Through a considered approach to natural garden design, we transformed the landscape into a series of connected outdoor rooms—balancing structure with softness and allowing the garden to feel effortlessly integrated with the land.
