The Purpose
Our work began with a deep respect for the historical and architectural significance of this property in York. The client approached South Bank Garden Services with a clear vision: to restore the surrounding landscape across the expansive grounds, thoughtfully enhance the outdoor living spaces for contemporary enjoyment, and honor the principles of the Prairie style. Our role was to carefully reimagine the landscape—creating functional, inviting outdoor environments while preserving the integrity and spirit of the original design.
The Challenge
Approaching a historically significant property in York required a thoughtful respect for its architectural legacy. The client sought to rejuvenate the surrounding landscape, modernize the outdoor living spaces across the estate, and remain true to the principles of the Prairie style. Our challenge was to reimagine the landscape in a way that felt contemporary, functional, and seamlessly aligned with the original design ethos.
